2 July 2008: ARUP Laboratories announced today that its Case Study for “ARUP Consult®, The Physician's Guide to Laboratory Test Selection and Interpretation,” was selected as a Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program. ARUP Consult is an online resource which offers health care providers no-cost access to current diagnostic advice regarding test selection and interpretation for more than 1,500 laboratory tests. “Each year, the Computerworld Honors Program seeks to recognize organizations, from a variety of sectors, for their ongoing efforts to utilize technology in order to benefit society,” said Ron Milton, chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Computerworld Information Technology Awards Foundation and executive vice president of Computerworld. “We are proud to provide a platform to publicly acknowledge these contributions.”

The VoiceOver solution is designed to optimize both traditional dictation and transcription workflow as well as real-time speech recognition, and allows you to manage a single or mixed environment, or proceed to mapping a seamless transition toward speech recognition through your current Lab System.
VoiceOver Recorder allows users to create digital dictations from within the underlying information system. Patient identifiers are automatically captured at the time of execution from within a patient’s record, and upon completion of recording, both the audio and the dictation identifier text file are made available to the VoiceOver Enterprise Workflow Connect tool in order to be distributed to internal transcription, an internal back-end speech server, an external transcription company, or an external back-end speech server.
