Academic Dermatologist
BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS (USA). The Dermatopathology Unit in the Department of
Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, a major teaching affiliate of
the Harvard Medical School, is seeking a Board-certified or Board-eligible
dermatopathologist to join an outstanding academic team. Applicants should have
a strong record of training and experience in diagnostic dermatopathology in an
academic setting and the ability to conduct an independent or collaborative
research program in dermatopathology.
The Massachusetts General Hospital participates in the joint Harvard
Dermatopathology Fellowship Training Program. The Dermatopathology Unit, which
is staffed by 5 faculty, is responsible for provision of dermatopathology
services for the MGH Melanoma Unit, the MGH Department of Dermatology, and a
growing outreach program. The MGH Dermatopathology Unit is a center of
excellence, includes internationally known dermatopathologists, and works
closely with the MGH Department of Dermatology. There are considerable
opportunities for both clinical/translational and basic research.
Applicants should be committed to excellent patient care, effective teaching,
and academic productivity. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with
experience and accomplishments.

COOPERSTOWN, NEW YORK (USA). The successful candidate will be involved in the continued growth of a busy clinical and teaching practice. Patients are drawn from a ten county rural area of upstate New York, with a broad range of problems in medical and surgical dermatology.
Candidates must be BC/BE, with interests in clinical teaching as well as general medical / surgical dermatology. This is a unique situation combining the advantages of multispecialty group practice at an academic health center with a rural lifestyle.
